1. What is the origin of the name Camaro ?

[The concept of the car was conceived in 1966 as a direct response to the Mustang introduced by Ford in 1964. ]

2. Where was the Camaro built ?

General Motors used various assembly plants. The car was assembled at plants located in: 

- Norwood, Ohio (including all Canadian F-body cars - about 75%)

- Van Nuys, California - about 25%

- a few thousand Camaros were built overseas (the exact number is being researched)

            - GM Continental in Belgium, currently being researched by Camaro Research Group©

            - and under contact to the Yutivo factory in the Philippines, see this link at CRG©, that has researched this little known fact.
